Alaska Underdogs Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization operating in and serving the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and Anchorage.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs who would otherwise be overlooked and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral challenges, like dog or human reactivity.
Our team of fosters provide a safe haven for dogs in need and help to rehabilitate them through training and socialization.
We want to empower our fosters through continued training so that they can, in turn, help to increase the adoptability of every dog that we rescue.
By adopting from Alaska Underdogs, you are not only giving a deserving dog a second chance at life, but you are also helping us to continue our mission to save more dogs in need.
Featured Dog:
Meet Mordu! Mordu had a rough start: His previous owner said they kept him in a kennel in the garage nearly 24/7 due to being "untrainable." He had developed sores on his feet and Happy Tail, and it was determined that docking his tail would be in his best interests. He has done so much better since his tail was docked and he was neutered!
He is now attending classes with his foster to get over his reactivity toward other dogs. He does great with the other dogs in his foster home, including during playtime, but reacts by barking/lunging when he sees dogs in public who aren't neutral.
We have such high hopes for this big goober!
